Steven Molino Shares His Thoughts on the Flood Risk for the New Powerhouse Museum

Recent flooding in NSW including at the site for the new Powerhouse Museum at Parramatta has generated conversations regarding the adequacy of investigations into the risk of flood damages to the collection. Steven Molino who provided expert evidence during the inquiry held last month (FM February) argues that flood risk investigations have not been undertaken to address whether the building is fit for purpose and safe for collections which may be irreparably damaged by rising flood waters during a one-in-1,000 year flood.
