Molino Stewart’s Dr Kelsey Sanborn Officially Awarded Phd in Marine Geology

We are happy to announce that Molino Stewart Natural Hazard and Spatial Analyst, Dr Kelsey Sanborn, has now officially been awarded her PhD in marine geology from the School of Geosciences, University of Sydney. Her thesis titled, “The response of coral reefs to rapid environmental change and the use of reef records in past sea-level reconstructions” examined the resilience and vulnerability of coral reefs over geologic timescales, from 7,000 to 125,000 years ago. To read more, see two of Kelsey’s published papers from her PhD research, including one on the early development of the modern Great Barrier Reef under environmental stress (here) and how Hawaiian coral reefs can be used to interpret past rapid sea-level rise (here).
